First Day at School Experiences
Let’s say it wasn’t that bad. I met a lot of kids, teachers and the head teacher were kind. I always had mixed feelings about school. It was a new morning. I was able to convince myself that the holidays are over. I got up from my bed; ate my breakfast, prepared my bag and headed to school. I was very afraid because my best friend was assigned to a different class in the same school, and I thought nobody would like me. Yes, I was happy to go there and make new friends that I hadn’t seen before but I was just not mentally prepared for the school environment. Oh My God! It’s very huge.
It was amazing. My first day at school was simply amazing. I loved every moment. I made new friends and took a class photo. My mother accompanied me to school on the first day. Other parents accompanied their children as well. We all waited in front of the school office. It was an enjoyable time for me as I got to know my new classmates. The teacher was very busy writing down our particulars so we had plenty of time to ourselves. My new friend introduced me to all the girls she met already and they were mostly pretty nice to me. The memory of my first day at school is very pleasant. I feel proud when I describe it to others.
I wanted to run away. My first day at school? I don’t want to remember it at all. It simply was terrible. My father took me to school which was an unknown place for me. Teachers and students were strangers to me. When I entered the school I felt nervous. It was a big building with a large compound wall. As a small child I could not feel stable at the sight of the building. The atmosphere of the school was calm and quite. I was not acquainted with such atmosphere earlier. At first, I was not able to understand why there were so many teachers. The bell rang. The class teacher left our class and another teacher came. All the students in our class again stood up. Other students looked at me curiously. The teacher wrote some words on the blackboard. He taught simple arithmetic. Then the bell rang. And another class began.
