Once when a Lion was sleeping, a little Mouse started running all over upon him. This soon wakened the Lion, who put his enormous paw upon him and opened his huge jaws to swallow him.
“Pardon, O King!” cried the little Mouse, “Excuse me this time. I should never repeat it and I might always remember your consideration. Besides who knows, I may have the capacity to do you a decent turn one of those days?”
The Lion was so delighted at the thought of the Mouse having the capacity to help him, that he lifted up his paw and let him go. later a couple of hunters caught the King lion and attached him to a tree while they went looking for a wagon to convey him on.
Simply then the little Mouse happened to pass by, and seeing the pitiful predicament in which the Lion was, ran up to him and soon chewed away the ropes that bound the King of the Beasts. “Was I not right?” said the little Mouse, extremely cheerful to help the Lion.
