The Crow and The Fox

A huge dark Crow was perched on a branch of a tree with a bit of cheese in his snout, when he was seen by a starving Fox.

The Fox strolled under the branch, turned toward the Crow, and said, “What a beautiful bird you are!  Your beauty is without equivalent and the colour of your plumes is lovely. If your voice is as beautiful as your appearance, then I think you are the King of the Birds.”
The Crow was extremely pleased by the Fox’s compliments and, just to reveal to him that he could sing, he opened his mouth to caw. But as soon as he opened his mouth, the cheddar tumbled to the ground, where it was grabbed up by the astute Fox.
Today’s moral:
Do not trust toadies.
