The Ant and The Grasshopper

One summertime’s day in a park a Grasshopper was jumping around, tweeting and singing to its heart’s content. A dynamic Ant passed by, carrying with great determination an ear of corn he was taking to the nest.

“Why don’t you rest and talk to me,” said the Grasshopper, “instead of sweating and wasting your energy?” “I am helping to save food for the winter,” said the Ant, “and you should do the same.” “Why worry about winter?” said the Grasshopper; “we have got a lot of food now.”
But the Ant went on its way and continued its hard work. When the winter came the Grasshopper found itself starving and even dying of hunger, while it saw the ants feeding, every day, on corn and grain they had collected and stored in the summer.
Then the Grasshopper knew and understood the wisdom of the hardworking ants.
Today’s moral:
work today and you can reap the benefits tomorrow!
